Here is the completed base on which to place the Sherman M4A1 76mm.To simulate the grass in addition to that artificial present on the market I've also used those little balls of dried seaweed that are often found on beaches.

VAB 4x4 in UN Service
Here are the photos of the finished VAB.Painted some years ago with Humbrol colors when the latest weathering techniques was not common, I realized the chipping technique with a small brush and I applied the washing with oil colors. The vehicle has been painted with the colors and insignia of the UN Forces set during peacekeeping operations in the former Yugoslavia. The UN insignia were made with a mask of Post-It tape (a masking tape) on which were written and cut out UN initials.

VAB 4x4 before painting
It is a model that I built some years ago, the Heller VAB 4x4.As you can see from the photos I rebuilt all doors, on top I replaced the ventilation of the engine and the filter building from scratch the bottom of which later I placed those from the Eduard photoetched set of reference 35535,the collector of the muffler with plasticard of 0.25 mm, the rear gunner's protective shield and added and replaced all the details that are absent or found to be less detailed. The Browning machine gun comes from a set Verlinden. The more extensive intervention takes place on the rear of the vehicle with the total reconstruction of the two doors as the original ones were undersized and missing of some details including the two hinges fixed in the upper part.Even the armor of the side windows were replaced and made again in plasticard as well as the frames of the front windows to allow the placement of new wipers from the Eduard set because those present in the kit were erroneously printed on the chassis of armored glass.I also replaced the two compartments for cans at the bottom of rebuilding them with plasticard adding the chains made by twisting two small copper wires crushing them with a small hammer which turn out to be more convincing than those photoengraved and remade and added all those little details are missing or unrealistic. The last touch was to adapt the tires that I had previously printed in resin. In the coming days I will post pictures of the finished model.
